Florida Bible Camp is situated in 200 beautifully wooded acres near the Santa Fe River in northern Florida. Florida Bible Camp's facilities include 11 air-conditioned cabins, well-equipped bath houses, a large air-conditioned kitchen and dining hall that can accommodate 200 people, an assembly area, a full-size swimming pool, a crafts building, and a large pavilion for games. Camp facilities are air-conditioned for the comfort of our campers.
Florida Bible Camp offers four weeks of organized summer camping for young people of ages eight to 18. A qualified and dedicated staff of Christian counselors, recreation and craft leaders, and Bible teachers work together to make each child's stay at Florida Bible Camp an enjoyable and spiritually profitable experience.
A primary goal of Florida Bible Camp is to provide each child with an opportunity to learn and grow with people who love the Lord and are living daily for Him. A place to make new friends and have LOTS OF FUN!

Florida Bible Camp began operation in 1948, and was chartered in 1954. Mr. J.P. Prevatt was elected its president and director. Douglas Gunsalman, Baxter Forrester, Sandy McCloud, and Chester Dampier served on the first board of directors. Sam Kitching served as camp director from 1965 to 1971. John Arnold took the leadership role and served through the 1977 sessions.
In 1977 Dennis Davis became the overall director, and with his wife Lou, lived and worked at the camp until 1986. They designed and helped build the existing administrator’s home. The present campsite of 200 acres was purchased in 1968.
Members and congregations of the churches of Christ throughout Florida have been instrumental in the development of the Florida Bible Camp over the years. In 1969, members of the Macclenny church built the first cabin. The Post Street church in Jacksonville added three cabins in the boys’ area. In 1970, the High Springs and Lake Butler churches built a cabin each. The South Trail church in Sarasota built one in 1970. All the camper cabins were completed by the end of 1970. The Post Street church built the cooks’ cabin in 1971 and the crafts shop in 1972. The recreational pavilion was built in 1973 by members from Post Street and the St. Johns Avenue church in Palatka. Mike Davis donated and erected the flag pole in 1973. The Post Street and St. Johns Avenue congregations jointly built the office in 1974. A go-cart track was built in 1974 by Post Street. Padgett Electric Co. of Live Oak installed wiring in many of the buildings. More recently Baccus Electric from Sarasota and Reaves Electric from Ocala did additional wiring and installed ceiling fans and other equipment. Bill Vickory of Alachua (High Springs minister) oversaw and assisted with many phases of maintenance. Dennis Davis, camp director for nine years, was a master in acquiring materials and assembling equipment. Chuck Gatton of the University City church in Gainesville donated equipment, food, and materials over the years.
The dining hall-chapel was erected by members of the church from Post Street, St. Johns Avenue, 39th Avenue (Gainesville), Lake Butler, and High Springs. The ball field was built by D.R. Roberts of High Springs.
Keith Williams and his wife Lisa became the camp’s director and served until August 8, 1998. In May 1999, Ernie and Wanda Gainey were asked to help with fund raising and promotion of the camp. They were a part of the team of Sojourners that worked at the camp that year. Jerry and Misty Kelly served as camp caretakers following Ernie and Wanda.
Preston Tramel served as president of the board until 1992 when Laurie Philpot was elected. Laurie served until 2000, when Sam Long of Atlantic Beach, Florida, succeeded him until 2004. Lawton “Skip” Skipper served as president of the board from 2004 - 2015. Adam Key served as president from 2015 - 2020, Mark Forshaw is the current president of the board.
PeterJohn and Jessica Fox currently serve as Administrators for the camp.
